If you’re following this blog (and Kizuna’s) maybe you know by now that March 3rd is celebrated annually as the girl’s day in Japan. This event which is called Hinamatsuri is special day where parents wish for their girls’ happiness and good health all throughout the year. (read my last year’s post, Ohinasama)
Ohinasama dolls are being displayed inside the house, usually in the living room. These dolls are not just an ordinary Japanese Dolls. They’re especially made just for this time of the year and must be kept atleast a day after the event.
Day 62 of 2010′s
(mar 3, wednesday)

This year, we celebrated it in the simplest way so I don’t have much to share about the foods, et al. But visit my friend’s page HERE to know and see more about how we usually celebrate Hinamatsuri.
Thanks for the comments ~

Finally a celebration for girls in the male dominated world of Japan, lol. Thanks for sharing with your readers the different traditions and celebrations in Japan. God bless you all always.
